Short summary of Best Practice:
SPRING - Georeferrenced Information Processing System is a state-of-the-art GIS and Remote Sensing image processing system with an object-oriented data model which provides for the integration of raster and vector data representations in a single environment. It is available in three languages (Portuguese, English and Spanish) and the download is done through the Web.
It has the following functionalities: Digital Image Processing, Thematic Map Manipulation, Digital Terrain Modeling,Storage and Queries for Cadastral Data, Modeling and Use of Networks and Data and Spatial Analyses.

This practice is needed because there is a community of SPRING users around the world that could benefit from interacting with each other, exchanging training material, courses, questions, concerns etc.
